Should Doesn't Mean Yes

I have to confess that I am not a regular reader of "The Daily Telgraph", I mean who is. However I did find a copy lying around at work today and decided to have a read as the front page was promoting the fact that todays issue contained a new column written by Armando Iannucci, a big favourite of mine from programmes such as "The Day Today", "The Friday Night Armistice" and "I'm Alan Partridge".

Well he didn't dissapoint. He went "off on one" and had a good rant about "Big Brother" and there was one bit in particular that I had to share with you. He was talking about the story that when the creator of "Big Brother" was informed that Michelle and Stuart were having sex during last years show he rushed over to the studio because "that was where history was being made!!". The bit I loved was:

"Do you remember History? Basically it now goes like this: Caves, Henry the Eighth, Abdication Crisis, JFK being shot, Apollo moonlanding, the miners strike, two people rutting under a table."

Class

Also now is a good time to recommend Armandos new series "The Thick Of It" which is on BBC4 on a Thurday Night at 10.30. It stars Chris Langham as a put-upon MP continually harassed by Number 10's policy enforcer and dependent on his not-so reliable team of civil servants. . There are some clips on the website to give you a taster.
