To busy for posting....

Well I am normally too un-busy for posts and have nothing to say but this week...quite the opposite.

I had a little birthday tea with Black forest gateau.. which I did not have enough of. Then on Wednesday we went to Sheffield to the Meadowhall where upon I spent my birthday money for the second time. I have been wanting some Benetint for ages but wasn't sure if it would make me look like Aunt Sally. So I foolishly asked an orange lady in House of Fraser if I could test some. She was a very nice orange lady and before I knew what was happening I was in the chair having the full make-up done... I had none on to begin with... she was just going to try the Benetint... I said it might look stupid with no foundation on... she said she would do the base.. I agreed. Anyway she also put some Dr Feelgood on which I have heard about but when she put it on I had to have that too. Which meant I had overspent my birthday money but, so what?! I work... well not at the moment but that is a whole other story.

Then we visited Christopher at his humble abode, and we went to a sci-fi shop thing for Andrew and then a music shop, surprisingly enough, again that was for Andrew. When we got back I think that Andrew and Chris had Playstation planned for the rest of the afternoon. I wasn't really enthusiastic about that plan and so we went to Bakewell and had pudding. Which was really lovely. I felt like a true old lady with my pot of tea and slice of pudding. it was even eaten in a little tea shop... well the original bakewell pudding shop actually.

Then we went to visit David and Livvi, Andrew's brother and sister in law. We stopped over the night and we had planned to visit a museum that Livvi is due to begin working at. But there weren't enough parking spaces and we were too lazy to walk, so we went to IKEA instead. I accidentally totalled a bill of £80, but it was all on stuff that we really needed, as all of it is already being used.

On Friday we went to my mam and dad's because my brother had my birthday present for me...... between him, my sister and her boyfriend they had adopted me a giant panda through the WWF. Not only that but it is a killer panda that has killed and injured two goats...which must have just been for the sake of it because pandas eat bamboo don't they? Are they not vegetarian... omnivores... herbivores...whatever the correct word is? We went to Mike and Sarah's on the afternoon and they had bought me a beautiful pink plant...although we are not sure what it is or how to keep it alive, so that should be interesting. It has gel stuff in the vase... I guess that has something to do with its healthiness! I met my friend Denise from work and we had a good catch up with each other and everything that has been going on in the office.

Last night we had a little party to celebrate being together for 10 years. And Graeme brought me a birthday cake which he had baked and decorated himself to look like Kermit. It was fantastic and the best birthday cake I can remember having since I was little. It even tasted fabulous and for what I understand to be a first attempt is some achievement I think. Graeme, Joll and Julie also bought us the classic film Drop Zone on DVD, which was the first film we ever went to see. How thoughtful is that?!

Today my friend Suzanne came over for a cuppa, which turned into two cuppa's and she was supposed to be elsewhere... I think I talk too much. She brought me some really gorgeous flowers from Claire Metcalfe's. It was a really nice surprise, and I had a good catch up on what she was doing, and told her everything that was going on with me too... poor girl. Now I am off to arrange more girly nights. Two posts in a week can you believe it?
